Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association is the structure through which parents/guardians in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parents’ Association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership of home and school.
Educational research on the involvement of parents in schools shows that children achieve higher levels when parents and teachers work together.
We have an excellent Parents’ Association in Kilross NS. All parents are invited to join. The Parents’ Association not only help out with fundraising and awareness campaigns, they are involved in policy development and important decisions made in the school. Fundraising goes towards extra activities and resources in the school.
