Our Christmas Market

Our school Christmas Market was a wonderful success, showcasing the creativity and hard work of our pupils. The children made all of the crafts on sale, including beautiful Christmas decorations and thoughtful gifts. Every item was created sustainably, in line with our Green Schools programme, using recycled and eco-friendly materials.

A huge thank you to Ms Reynolds for her guidance and support throughout the project, and to our parents and families for their encouragement and support on the day. The market was a fantastic celebration of creativity, community, and sustainability.

Healthy Eating and Cooking!

We learned all about healthy eating and tried some cooking in Kilross this term. The Green School’s committee harvested potatoes from the school garden and made healthy chips for everyone. We took part in the Taste of Sligo Festival and learned to cook some healthy treats.

Autumn Art

We were very busy this autumn creating art from recycled objects and the environment. The junior room made owl babies, autumn trees and leaf people while the senior room created the Salmon of Knowledge and worked with Artist in Residence, Lucy Goodier on self portraits and cyanotype prints.

Outdoor Learning

We made full use of the good weather and our school garden for outdoor learning in September. We explored the biodiversity in our local hedgerows with Martina Butler from Heritage in Schools. We explored the garden for insects and mini-beasts and were delighted with what we found.
